long full fall weekend, felt like a month..all was it was meant to be

Eagle Pilot eagle has owee on arm.. send lots of healing energy to it, please.

mommy had woken up early around 5am for an hour, but went back to sleep.
the day officially began waking up to a beautiful fall day (well, almost fall..a little cold and humid for a fall day,but definitely not winter yet, and most certainly NOT summer.. mommy actually likes the sun on fall days.. not so in summer, but in fall, a beautiful blue sky is pretty darn awesome)
a smile of delight. there was only one thing missing. (this thought struck mommy.. still no idea what became of viva... you see, many years back before eagle had been born, mommy had been having a so-so day, visiting out in california, and while she and daddy were out visiting a friend goign to some random bar, who does she see.. but viva.. viva? yeah, that was her. i go up to her, and she whoops out a yell of delight.. ..hahah. .it was good to see her.. and afterwards. no matter what had been bothering me that day or the rest of that week.. all was right in the world.. i had visited with viva adn given her a hug. but a couple years later, i lost her address and contact with her again, and when not able to find her via internet search, just kind of sighed a humph sigh)
but anyways, so mommy decides to go ahead and type her name in and see what happens. and voila.. haha.. like magic. found her. mommy let's all a squeal of laughter from deep within , smiling so big, that she isn't even able to make her lips close enough to explain to eagle why she was so happy when eagle goes, why are you laughing and smiling mommy. (haha, i still haven't contacted her yet.. but it was just so nice to know she was out there in the world.. that was enough to satisfy, and even more just amazed at the magic of the world since viva was not a big computer person, and one of the few in our generation who barely ever touched a computer for email or such other than the occasional computer game, but there she was, and there was no doubt, bc the picture came with :) )

anyways, then began a full weekend of activities.rocket launch, craft store, dragonboat races on day one, drums festival, on day one; on day two: pick up aita, terra cotta, italia festival, drive my nonexistent art festival, bayou bend family day, drop off aita, grocery store where arm get's an owee, LOTS and lots of driving, (eagle ,never quite made it to last latin show at miller although mommy got out of car to go run up hill and catch a song 1/2 before running back ..running felt soooo good).. a LONG LONG very full fall weekend with beautiful weather the whole weekend thru ! :)

Eagle Pilot 5,4, 3, 2, 1.. no wait, 0,1, 100, 4, 5, BLAST OFF... eagle launches first official model rocket.. THREE times.. :)
we almost didn't make it there in time, since we woke up late and it took us long to get out the door, we manage to get there before last car finished packing up, which was a blessing bc we had no stand of our own. we asked them if we might be allowed to do one launch with them. they were so cool, not only did they let us do three launches, but they gave us all kinds of cool pointers, and helped us get the rocket working, and to top the celebration off, passed on the initial starter stand to eagle-pilot now that there own son was far and beyond that stage and off to the more advanced stands. It was like hitting jackpot.! :)

Eagle Pilot also that day found the ideal store: a hobby store selling tons of parts for airplanes, rockets. he wanted everythign in it. mmy told him, he can own a store like that someday.

although after talking to the owner who says he works 60 to 80 hr weeks, and barely ever gets a chance to play with the 'toys' anymore.. i don't know if I recommend it (says mommy)

later thoughts from sunday night.
even if technology lets me live to be over 100,150, 300, 3000 years..life does not last long enough..

shame people don't watch the old classics..
jsut saw a movie with walter matheau, ingrid berman sometime recently.. it was pretty darn good, and better than most of what's out there today.
today's kids are truly missing out on some GOOOD films.
two favorite classes i ever took was us history class studied thru film
and musical history class through film.
